Back in 2018, my now-husband suggested Montesacro SoMa for our first date. The pinsas are absolutely divine and it has been a favorite restaurant of ours for years now. So much so, that we reached out and asked if they'd be willing to cater our cocktail hour for 160+ guests at our June 2025 wedding in Petaluma. To our luck and surprise, they agreed and even attended our venue walkthrough to ensure they'd be able to use the on-site, outdoor brick oven. The pinsas were the highlight of the night and our guests still rave about them to this day. We worked with Chefs Anna and Mattia - both of whom were so receptive to our requests. I mean, Chef Anna was individually casing the sausage at the venue on the day-of. Need I say more?!

Lovely small space for delicious pinsas. Excellent short wine list. Old world charm. Feels so local, so Roman, so authentic of itself. Cozy old chairs and tables burnished by extended service. Not for glam, but for the glory of crispy pinsa, killer salads. Close to theaters

Authentic Italian pizzeria with a curated list of only Italian wines. Thoughtful upcycling design that gives a bit of nostalgia into the past, like the sewing machine table we sat at. It gets busy around 6:30 pm. We had reservations for 5:45 pm and our table was ready. Great staff as well with full knowledge of the menu and wines.

The pinsa was sooooo good! We got the artichoke and pecorina crema pinsa and the dough was exquisite. We also tried the pinsa with prosciutto, really good too. Highly recommend! Just be aware that the neighborhood isn't great.

Delicious pizza with a special recipe dough. It's just a little bit different, but not blatantly obviously so. Regardless it's delicious! Great friendly knowledgeable service. Wildly interesting eclectic decor, especially the washroom. The neighbourhood is a little more gritty but not dangerous by my accounts, and there are neighbourhood ambassadors around as well.
